Day 3 of the Republican National Convention got underway Wednesday night in Milwaukee. Ohio Senator JD Vance is expected to speak and accept the Vice Presidential nomination after being named Donald Trump’s running mate earlier this week. Other speakers expected to take the stage include Nancy Mace, Matt Gaetz, Newt Gingrich, Peter Navarro, Greg Abbott, Doug Burgum, Kellyanne Conway, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Donald Trump Jr.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley were among a slate of former opponents of President Trump to speak on his behalf at the Republican National Convention. This comes as the party begins to fall in line behind the former president.

Meantime, the White House confirmed Wednesday that President Biden has tested positive for COVID and is experiencing mild symptoms.

More details continue to come out on the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump and the suspected shooter Thomas Crooks (Thomas Matthew Crooks). The Secret Service is fielding heavy criticism that the shooter was seen on the roof before the attempted homicide.
