This special /”mega-coverage/” of typhoon Rosing aired just a few hours after the typhoon’s eye passed Metro Manila in the Philippines.

Typhoon Angela, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Rosing, was an extremely powerful and catastrophic tropical cyclone that impacted the Philippines in November 1995, and the most intense tropical cyclone worldwide in 1995.

Program Description:
In the last quarter of 1995, GMA launched an early evening news program that distinguished itself from other newscasts by taking the viewers right to where the news is happening. The pace was brisk, the look was new, the language was easily understood and the response was overwhelming.
