On the evening of July 19, 2024, around 8:40 PM, a sudden heavy rainstorm triggered a flash flood in Zhashui County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. The deluge led to the partial collapse of the Yanping Village Bridge on the Daning Expressway in the Shanyang direction. In the immediate aftermath of the collapse, rescue teams discovered five vehicles that had fallen into the river.
